PornÑо¿Ëùwill support RDM implementation via three key mechanisms:
Data Management Plans (DMPs)
PornÑо¿Ëùacknowledges that creating DMPs is a critical responsibility of researchers. Internal review of research proposals will ensure DMPs account for how data will be collected, documented, formatted, protected and preserved; how existing datasets will
be used and what new data will be created over the course of the research project; whether and how data will be shared; and, where data will be deposited. Data management plans will consider cultural sensitivity including but not limited to best practices
reflected in the First Nations Principles of OCAP and The Tri-Council’s EDI Action Plan.
Support from PornÑо¿ËùApplied Research & Innovation
PornÑо¿ËùAR&I operations will support PornÑо¿Ëùresearchers by documenting processes for creating DMPs, digital data storage, confidentiality, privacy, indigenization, and communication of research results.
PornÑо¿ËùRDM Policy
PornÑо¿Ëùwill develop an RDM policy based on this strategy. The policy will integrate feedback from internal and external collaborators who are likely to be involved in research in the future.
Awareness and Training
PornÑо¿Ëùwill develop training and guidance to enhance overall awareness of RDM within the College community, including faculty, staff, students, and research partners. PornÑо¿Ëùwill develop awareness for the need to adopt and implement DMPs and training for the
best practices of information management in research from proposals to final disposition of research data.
PornÑо¿Ëùwill identify and build key relationships to support applied research. PornÑо¿Ëùwill participate in external working groups and communities to stay current with best RDM practices.
